Ten Years & New Domains
At the 2026 Midsommar du Patrimoine, the CNCGP’s annual wealth management event, Julien Magitteri — President of Côme Maison of Finance and chair of the CNCGP’s Île-de-France chapter — spoke with Guillaume Clément, editor-in-chief of News Asset Pro. Ten years after the Maison’s founding, the conversation reveals a new competency: Côme Asset Management, the Maison’s own management company, freshly authorized by the AMF, the French financial markets regulator.
A decade of growth
Côme celebrates its tenth anniversary this year. The Maison now counts around fifty people and advises on more than one billion euros in assets. Five offices across France support a development strategy rooted in regions. Internationally, the Luxembourg office was confirmed early this year with the arrival of Pascal Rapallino as partner. Offices in Geneva and Dubai are being finalized.
“We want the capacity to be a family office with an objective, independent view across every asset class, on an international scale,” says Julien Magitteri.
Côme Asset Management: management as a Maison competency
This is the interview’s central announcement: Côme has secured AMF authorization for Côme Asset Management, the Maison’s management company, led by Charles Brunswick, co-founder of the Maison alongside Julien Magitteri.
The financial environment has grown considerably more complex in recent years: a multiplication of asset classes, increasingly sophisticated allocation structures, tightening regulatory requirements. Fully accompanying a family’s wealth today requires the ability to mobilize, internally, an investment management expertise equal to that complexity. This conviction guided the creation of Côme Asset Management: management becomes a competency of the Maison, on the same footing as real estate or family governance.
Julien Magitteri is clear on one point: this evolution changes nothing about what Côme fundamentally is. “We remain a family office — we are not an asset management company,” he states. “What we are doing is internalizing a management company within the family office, to have a precise, objective view” of listed markets and private equity — two asset classes at the heart of the Maison’s investment convictions.
This architecture, designed for consistency, keeps the Côme Asset Management teams distinct from the wealth advisory teams: every recommendation stays aligned with the client’s overall wealth strategy, and every investment approach is co-built with family officers and clients.
An internalized real estate investment bank
Another recent development discussed during the interview: the creation of Côme Real Estate, a real estate investment bank led by Romain Chassard, built directly into the Maison. The goal mirrors that of Côme Asset Management — an objective view of investment opportunities, this time in real estate, supported by talent recruited specifically for this expertise.
An ambition that is both horizontal and vertical
For Julien Magitteri, Côme’s roadmap rests on two axes. Vertically, strengthening internal capabilities in support of family officers, to better compose the investment opportunities offered to families. Horizontally, a B2B ambition: sharing the Maison’s convictions, operations, and club deals more broadly, whether with family offices, independent wealth management firms, or private banks.
Côme is also positioning itself as a buyer, actively looking at firms across France, in the same logic of regional development. Client segmentation remains straightforward: between one and ten million euros, Côme Private Office opens access to asset classes usually reserved for the largest fortunes, such as private equity or private debt; above ten million euros, clients are served by the Family Office, the historic core of the Maison’s activity for ten years now.
Barnes Family Office by Côme: a partnership bearing fruit
Two years after launch, the partnership between Côme and luxury real estate specialist Barnes Real Estate is proving particularly rewarding. Barnes counts 180 agencies across more than twenty countries. Reaching them took eighteen to twenty-four months of outreach, explaining to the whole network what a family office does and how Côme could support their wealthiest clients.
“We get along very well with Barnes’ leadership,” says Julien Magitteri. “Being able to speak freely and share an entrepreneurial spirit — that’s the foundation of our shared approach.”
