A short portrait of Charles Brunswick, Deputy CEO of Côme Maison of Finance, by novelist Ludovic Roubaudi.
Charles is a man of many lives. At the outset, he was a financier — it was during this first chapter that he met Julien Magitteri, when both were working at Bordier & Cie.
He is also a business leader, having taken over the family company in textiles, founded more than a century ago by his great-grandfather. And he is an entrepreneur, having reinvented this activity by creating Moondream, a brand of high value-added furnishing fabrics. “We develop and market technical and decorative curtains — blackout, thermal, acoustic, mosquito-repellent, and even electromagnetic wave-proof. We work at the frontier of beauty and intelligence.”
He is also an investor, always seeking new opportunities to which he can contribute. It is undoubtedly this combination of qualities — rigor, courage, and boldness — that led Côme to approach Charles. “Julien Magitteri asked if I would be willing to conduct analyses of unlisted companies for Côme. I immediately agreed, because I enjoy delving into varied subjects and discovering talented entrepreneurs, both women and men.”
Since selling his company in 2022, Charles has taken on a full-time role at Côme. With a perspective that combines the acuity of a financier, the human sensibility of a business leader, and the curiosity of an investor, he brings a distinctive outlook to the palette of talents at Côme Maison of Finance.
